FAQs

  • Yes! Pilates is for every-body. At Co-Op Pilates we believe that Pilates is for anyone at every stage of life. Whether you are an active athlete, pregnant, recovering from injury or just looking to stay fit, there’s a Pilates experience for you. Our classes offer all levels and types of Pilates, and you can customize your experience by booking Private or Duo sessions to focus on your specific needs.

  • As a low-impact full body workout, Pilates uses your own body weight and resistance to strengthen and lengthen your body. There are many benefits to a regular Pilates practice including: improved flexibility, coordination and strength, injury prevention and recovery, weight loss and a deeper connection to breath and mindfulness leading to better mental health.

  • Co-Op Pilates classes are 50 minutes long and focus on working the entire body during each class.

  • If this is your first time visiting Co-Op Pilates, create an account here or download the app. Then check out our Introductory Offers and New Member Specials. All first-time clients are asked to join a Fundamentals class and must receive instructor approval to participate in any other level classes.

  • If you are on the waitlist for a class, you will be automatically added to the class up to 1 hour before the start time of the class and receive an email to notify you. If a spot opens within one hour before class you will be contacted directly to see if you are able to join.

You are welcome to come to class to see if a space opens up, but do note our 10 minute grace period and know that you will not be able to join class until that has passed and the other client(s) have not showed.

If you are on a waitlist and do not get into a class you will not be penalized and any credits will be returned to your account.

The waitlist closes 1 hour before the start of class.

  • No, classes packages or memberships are exclusively for the person whose account it was purchased on. If you’d like to bring a friend to class they are welcome to redeem a first class free. They will need to create their own account and book their class.

As a reminder if your friend buys a class package or membership you get a $15 studio credit!

  • Yes! You can freeze your membership at any time for at least 1 week at a time. All we need from you is the date you want the freeze to start and end. These dates can be changed, but we do need both those dates at the time of your request.

Also, freezes are subject to a $15/month freeze fee.

  • Yes! Pilates is a great and safe workout for expectant and new moms. Just like any workout prenatal or postnatal there are modifications needed as you move through your pregnancy and birth journey, so please check out our Prenatal & Postnatal Policies for more information. For the most part you can continue regular Pilates workouts until you are 12 weeks pregnant. Either way we encourage you to check-in with you doctor before starting any new workouts at any point in your pregnancy to ensure it's a safe and healthy option. If you are interested in learning more or have any specific questions please reach out to us directly at: info@co-oppilates.com.

  • There is ample parking available in the Harvard Place shopping center. We even encourage you to park in a new place each time and check out our wonderful neighbors!

  • Sure! Please email us before hand to let us know when you are coming in for a class at: info@co-oppilates.com. From there, we do require a parent or legal guardian to join the teen (or anyone under 18) at their first session to sign the liability waiver on their behalf before taking their first class.

  • Fitness can transform whole-body health. And if you exercise to prevent or treat a medical condition, you may be able to get a Letter of Medical Necessity to unlock your HSA or FSA funds and save up to 40% off your classes.

What is an HSA or FSA account?

Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) allow you to save pre-tax dollars you can use to pay for eligible medical expenses. Fitness fees do not immediately qualify as eligible HSA/FSA expenses, but they do qualify if a provider recommends exercise to prevent or treat a medical condition.

To qualify those expenses for reimbursement with an HSA/FSA administrator, you need a Letter of Medical Necessity from a provider. Our partner, Dr. B, offers online consultations with licensed providers in every state—365 days a year.

    How it works

    Start a $15 medical consultation—no video required

A licensed provider will review your health history and current condition. If you qualify, they’ll email your fitness recommendations and Letter of Medical Necessity within 3 business hours.

Submit your letter and Co-Op Pilates receipts purchased on or after the date of your letter to your HSA/FSA administrator for reimbursement.

    Who is Dr. B?

Dr. B is a telehealth platform where patients can take $ 15 online consultations for a wide variety of conditions and then send resulting prescriptions to the pharmacy of their choice. Patients can also connect with licensed providers in their state who provide the Letter of Medical Necessity required for HSA/FSA fitness reimbursement.
